The objectives of this course:
In an effort to reduce existing complexities associated with the EU’s funding programme, Horizon Europe has expanded its use of the Lump Sum budget model. The plan is likely to expand its presence even more in the future, which means it is important to get familiar with this funding model.
This course targets participants who are experienced with the Horizon Europe Actual Cost model and would like to expand their knowledge and learn about the Lump Sum model.
During this course, we’ll go over and discuss the main budgetary aspects of the Lump Sum model. We will offer practical recommendations and tips that will help you write your own Lump Sum proposal.
We will discuss the following topics, among others:
- What are the unique added values of this model?
- How does this work in contrast to the traditional ‘Actual cost’ model?
- How does it work in the pre-award and post-award phases?
- What do you need to know to prepare a Lump Sum-based proposal?
- What are the existing issues and discrepancies that are internal to the Lump Sum model? What to be careful about?
