Our Opportunity Mapping service aims to connect researchers with the most relevant Horizon Europe funding opportunities and help academics navigate the Horizon Europe funding landscape.

Horizon Europe is the European Union’s flagship funding program for research and innovation. It aims to tackle global challenges and boost EU competitiveness and growth. The program supports collaboration among researchers, institutions, and businesses. Participation holds many benefits for academics, such as networking, collaborating and exchanging knowledge with top research and innovation groups and companies in Europe; contributing to addressing major societal, scientific, technological and environmental issues; and last but not least – potential access to research funding.

While benefits are clear, the program is very big, it includes many different funding schemes and grant types with different expectations, eligibility conditions and rules. Many researchers find it overwhelming and often challenging to pinpoint the right opportunities for them and struggle to begin their journey as applicants.

If you’re new to Horizon Europe and looking for a place to start, read below to learn about our Horizon Europe Opportunities Mapping for Academics service.

How to apply for Horizon Europe funding

The first step in the demanding process is to clearly research & identify relevant and forthcoming open calls within the Horizon Europe program in the EC Funding & portal. We highly recommend getting acquainted with this portal and the information provided there.

This first step alone can be strenuous and overwhelming. With over two decades worth of experience in European research funding, we can assist you with this opportunity mapping service to fully exploit the available Horizon Europe funding opportunities.

Should we find such relevant calls – consider our full suite of proposal preparation services as you prepare a highly competitive proposal.

What does the opportunity mapping service include?

The Enspire Science team will study your research focus and assess funding opportunities which are potentially relevant to your research.

This process includes:

  • Part 1: Understanding of your research. You will be required to provide information on your research focus and potential development avenues through a dedicated form.
  • Part 2: Mapping Horizon Europe funding opportunities. Once we receive your information, the Enspire Science team sets off to research, study and analyze which (if any) of the current calls or grants are potentially relevant to you.
  • Part 3: Online meeting. We will schedule an online call to discuss our findings and answer any questions you may have on them.
  • Post-service: Should you choose to move forward, we are happy to continue to be of assistance as you begin the process of preparing your Horizon Europe application. The next best step is our Go/No-Go service
