These projects present a variety of themes and topics, showcasing our ability to connect different sectors, support excellence in research, and advance innovative solutions. The project is launched and funded by the EU as part of the Circular Economy Action Plan and initiated and coordinated by Enspire Science. The Bio4HUMAN project, a Horizon Europe initiative initiated and coordinated by us, aims to contribute to the identification of bio-based solutions for solid waste management that have the potential to be applicable in various humanitarian settings. The project will conduct a scoping exercise that will identify a list of solutions as well as existing supply chain gaps, followed by a cycle assessment of the proposed solutions and an evaluation of their applicability concerning socio-economic and governance aspects.

The RISERS project, a Horizon Europe initiative coordinated by us, aims to develop standards relevant to support building symbiotic collaborations among industries and sectors that allow keeping resources in productive use for longer. The project addresses the challenges posed by building symbiotic collaborations, by developing a roadmap that defines areas, directions and proposes actions where standards are needed to advance industrial symbiosis with a focus on priority resources and synergies demonstrating the highest symbiotic potential in Europe.
