The “Go/No-Go” service is a screening process to help researchers determine if they should apply to the targeted grant.

ERC is highly competitive and has a list of unique requirements and “unwritten” rules that should be followed to ensure your proposal is successful. It is also quite a demanding grant application to write. Before heading out on the meticulous process of preparing your ERC application – a proper and focused review of your profile and project’s ideas will save time, effort, and the potential frustration in preparing a proposal with low chances of success.

Our “Go/No-Go” service is a unique screening process which assists in evaluating whether the applicant’s profile and project’s concept are in line with the unique ERC expectations.

You will be asked to provide information about your academic CV and track record and the ERC project idea through a dedicated form with guiding questions, to which our team will provide written feedback.

Our team will review the following important aspects:

Academic CV and Track record:

ERC is looking to fund investigator-driven projects that are led by creative and independent researchers with an outstanding track record. In order to make sure your CV and track record is up to par for ERC standards, we will review your profile from an ERC point of view and help you identify your weak and strong points. If applicable, we will also comment on any relevant eligibility issues or any errors that may lead to technical rejection.

Research Project:

We will review the following items

  • Research idea and its novel aspects
  • Hypothesis or new approach of your project
  • High-risk & high-gain aspects of your research proposal
  • And the interlinks between the above

The feedback that we provide is qualitative constructive feedback, based on our experience. This feedback can either help you make a decision on the next steps or point you to the aspects you can strengthen in your application, should you choose to apply. We may provide a ‘No-Go’ feedback in cases where we recognize critical “show-stoppers”. In such cases, we may recommend not to apply.

The conceptual aspects we’ll cover during this service include:
