This course focuses on the technical aspects of daily management and periodic reporting in Horizon Europe grants. This includes:
- The formal requirements by the EC for reporting and management.
- Understanding what the EC expects from the project consortium and specifically the project’s coordinator.
- Practical and useful advice and good practices that can help you better succeed with the project’s coordination.
- Project meetings: How to plan and efficiently leverage meetings to project progress.
- Deliverables and Milestones: Both Deliverables and Milestones are considered to be contractual obligations of the consortium, and should be handled as such. The course will address aspects as: How and when to work on these? What are the EC expectations from these outcomes? What are the associated processes and how to link them all? How to manage all these processes with the project’s partners? What happens in case of a rejection? Etc.
- Periodic and final reports: How to handle these and which tools to use? What templates to use and how, what are the related processes? How to do that right? What might go wrong and how to avoid that? Etc.
- Deviation management: It is rather normal that projects deviate from the original plan. The Coordinator and the consortium should be well aware of what and how to do with such deviations: When a change is considered a deviation? How to declare it right? How to communicate this to the EC and when? What are the implications of such deviations and how to address them? How a deviation may affect the budget plan? When and how an extension can be applied? And more…
